Rooftop signage · Installation at height

Installation of a large rooftop advertising structure

Promalp Georgia installed a large advertising structure on the roof of a building in Tbilisi. The project combined crane-assisted installation, steel-frame assembly, welding and electrical work in a difficult-access location.

The challenge

The size and weight of the sections had to be managed on a steep roof with limited room for the installation team. Lifting the structure was only part of the task: each section needed to be received, positioned accurately on the prepared support points and secured at height. This required close coordination between the installers and the lifting operation.

How we carried out the installation

The crane lifted the steel-frame sections to the work area. Our installers received them on the roof and aligned them with the prepared supports, using industrial rope-access techniques to reach and work on the steep slope.

The work at height included assembly and fixing to the supporting bases, welding and metal fitting, installation of the dimensional advertising elements and electrical connections. Our team handled the elevated installation work from receiving the crane-lifted sections through to fitting and connecting the signage.

The result

The steel structure was installed and secured on the roof, the dimensional advertising elements were fitted and the electrical connections completed. The project illustrates our approach to complex work at height: rope access, handling large sections and installation skills brought together in one team.

Three signs on a hotel facade

We installed three signs on a hotel in Tbilisi: English and Georgian versions on a decorative grille on the upper facade, and a third sign on the end wall. Positioning, fixing and electrical work were carried out using rope access without scaffolding.
